Hi, my name is Bernard Mullins and I live
in Clintwood. It is located in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia. I have been a horse lover as long
as I can remember. I received my first pony when I was only 3 years old. I can also remember while I was riding
him one day, we came upon a small ditch and "he jumped it"! I did not fair so well, I fell off. But,
that did not discourage me, I kept on riding.
The love of horses runs in my family, I have several siblings uncles, cousins, nieces and other family
members who also enjoy them. My true love is the singlefooting/racking horse's. They are very pretty
and well built, they have good temperaments and are very intelligent. They can be taught a variety of disciplines and
used for a wide range of purposes. They also have an extremely smooth "4" beat gait with a wide range of speeds
that is a pleasure to ride. I love all the singlefooting/racking
horses, I enjoy the slower and medium gaited horse's too. But, I especially love the very fast gaited ones.
To me they are the "sports car" of gaited horses. When you are on a good fast horse you can feel all the
power that these animals possess, "IT IS AN ADRENALIN RUSH, IT
CAN BE BREATH TAKING"! The
past few years I have raised four very fast singlefooting / racking mares. I also have a very fast stallion.
All of them are very well built, easy to work with, have a true "4" beat gate that is very smooth, they have bigs
hearts and a willingness to please. It does take alot more ability for a Singlefooting Horse to reach the top end speeds
than a slower gaited one. (Only having one foot on the ground at a time) So, I believe that it dramatically improves
your chance of producing off springs with the ability to be a speed horse if both the "Dame and Sire" are speed
horse's. I have bred these mare's to my stud and will be offering the baby's for sale so that
hopefully other individuals will be able to experience the joy that I have with the Singlefooting Speed Horse.
I also have some slow to medium speed
singlefooting/racking horses for sale from time to time.. These singlefooting horses usually are great for trail and
pleasure riding for those whom necessarily doesn't need or want the speed. Check back with us often to see if we may have any of them available.
Singlefooting/Racking horses are an excellent choice for trail, pleasure and/or showing. If
you have never ridden one, I encourage you to give it a try, you'll be glad you did!
